In June of 2002, we appointed staff member Cindy Monteiro (left) to oversee our vocational training program. She is responsible for obtaining work for our Work Activities Training Center (WATC), for placing students in after-school jobs within JRC or in sheltered work opportunities and for helping students obtain competitive employment. In July of 2002 Cindy obtained a large contract with Concord Foods for our WATC students. Cindy has also found two supported work opportunities at the Coca-Cola Company for students Antonio S. and Steven G.. Other students have obtained competitive jobs in nearby businesses. Danielle R. now works in the Mulberry Child Care Center and Aracelis S. works at a local Friendly's restaurant.

Students in the WATC count popsicle sticks and group them with rubber bands for Concord Foods.

Salim's in-school job consists of photocopying, collating, and stapling documents for our Admissions and Marketing departments.

Antonio and Steven stock shelves at the Coca-Cola Company's storage and distribution plant in Braintree, MA.

Danielle enjoys caring for the children at Mulberry preschool.
