In
June of 2002, we appointed staff member Cindy Monteiro (left) to oversee
our vocational training program. She is responsible for obtaining work for
our Work Activities Training Center (WATC), for placing students in
after-school jobs within JRC or in sheltered work opportunities and for
helping students obtain competitive employment. In July of 2002 Cindy
obtained a large contract with Concord Foods for our WATC students. Cindy
has also found two supported work opportunities at the Coca-Cola Company
for students Antonio S. and Steven G.. Other students have obtained
competitive jobs in nearby businesses. Danielle R. now works in the
Mulberry Child Care Center and Aracelis S. works at a local Friendly's
restaurant. |

photocopying, collating, and stapling documents for our Admissions
and Marketing departments. |
