Excerpt from a column in the American Journal of Medical Science discussing the incidence of heart disease in young children.
The good news is that twenty-five percent of children attending kindergarten through eighth grade do not have clinical signs of heart disease (American Journal of Medical Science, 1995, Volume 310, page 22). The other seventy-five percent are very sick little boys and girls. They will grow up to become even sicker adults. Their parents are more than just clueless. Their parents are to blame.
