- from The McDougall Quick and Easy cookbook 2 T cocoa powder Combine the cocoa powder and cornstarch in a saucepan. Slowly as the water while stirring to make a smooth paste. Stir in the apple juice concentrate and vanilla. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a fondue pot or chafing dish to keep warm. Dip pieces of fruit into the warm sauce. Recipe hint: Use a variety of fruit, such as strawberries, bananas, apples, mangoes, papaya, or melons to dip into the chocolate sauce. |

4 cups stock
Combine all ingredients in fondue pot, electric skillet or electric wok. Just before serving, heat to simmer. Some suggested veggies: broccoli, summer squash or zucchini, Swiss chard or romaine lettuce, sweet red or green pepper, mushrooms. Serve with rice. |
