"The Judge Rotenberg Center is a great program for individuals with severe behavior disorders. It has given our son his life back, and he is very happy."
"I am so proud of Michael. He has made such a change since being in the JRC program. My son always had F's and a bad attitude. He was so happy when he called me. I knew I made the right decision."

"JRC is the best thing that ever happened to Damien. I am thrilled regarding the complete turn around he has made. JRC has brought our son back to us without meds! We are so happy about Damien's progress. It seems like a miracle to us! We truly appreciate all you have done for Damien."

"His improvement away from aggression while at JRC is hopeful. I have nothing but positive experiences to report. I personally do not see the day-to-day improvements but his case manager relates the progress and it is encouraging. When I see him he appears happy, contented and not stressed. When I visit Justin I have occasion to see the interactions between him and the staff and I am always contented that the staff have been so welcoming to us and they genuinely seem to like Justin and interact with him in a compassionate way."

"Definite improvement at JRC."

"She has changed and learned a lot. I think it's the best choice we made for Lisa. I thank you for helping. Lisa has changed a lot in her behavior. Her academic skills are great. She feels good because she likes the things she is learning."

"His improvements at JRC came steadily. As the years have passed, Eric has reached his full but limited capacity. He is well adjusted and ever, may I say something of a positive patient for JRC. JRC has enabled Eric to live as normal a life as possible. Within his limits, the quality of his life is excellent. Simple routines are now possible. Eric is able to engage in interesting activities and to do so with zeal."

"We have seen improvement in Adam's behavior which we did not expect without medication. JRC has done a wonderful job in helping Adam's behavior problems. Please keep it up!"

"Since her placement at JRC we have seen improvement in all areas of behavior. The program appears to be working at this point as Cara has progressed through a number of levels."

"Six months after entering JRC, his aggressiveness and property destruction ceased. He now participates in his program. We are very grateful to JRC as this seemed to be our last option and we didn't know if it would be successful. We feel that many services are excellent, particularly the behavioral program and the medical and nutritional services. Michael is getting more practice on the computer and learning some new material. JRC is the first school that was able to get him to school with the group. JRC was the only program that we thought might be able to help our son. We have seen a dramatic improvement in Michael's behavior and are extremely grateful to JRC and their unique program. The new nutritional program is a wonderful idea and hopefully will be very beneficial not only to students but staff and parents as well. The beautiful surroundings at JRC are quite impressive and uplifting."

"JRC has provided us with impeccable services. It is a tough job but you do your best and we appreciate you very much. There is a great change in my daughter's behavior. She is much more patient and willing to take instructions and carrying them out. She is also verbalizing much better than before, she has lost a lot of weight and her health has improved. She feels grateful for JRC. Whenever she visits home and its time for her to come back to JRC she does that willingly without any force at all. So far the program is working nicely for us. Thank you very much. We certainly believe that without the help and intervention of JRC our daughter would be dead by now. JRC has a unique program that we have not seen anywhere else. Our thanks to Dr. Israel and his able staff for the great job they are doing for our children."

"Since Warren arrived at JRC in July of 2002 there have been improvements in all areas. JRC is wonderful!!! If Warren had not been placed there, I don't know what we would have done, or what would have happened to Warren. Warren has also done well academically. I have noticed he is starting to take his work more seriously. Warren's case manager is the best and has done so much for Warren. He has such a positive impact on Warren and Warren gets along very well and has a great deal of respect and admiration for him. All staff members that I have come in contact with are great. When I have to call they are very helpful and assist in any way they can, and always return my call. When I have come up to school to visit they go out of their way to help me and make me as comfortable and welcome as they can. Thank you so much for all you have done and continue to do."

"Very attentive, caring staff, excellent weekly communication from the case manager. Lots of Bryan's behaviors have been eliminated. Excellent program and services. I feel confident that he is receiving the best care and services possible. In my opinion JRC is providing the best opportunities for behavioral improvements. Very clean, colorful environments. Well organized. Polite and courteous staff. Very satisfied with overall services provided by JRC. I thank God for JRC everyday."

"Services are top-notch and staff has thus far have been very willing to discuss and implement changes needed for Elaine's continued success. Elaine's grades have improved dramatically and she is thinking very seriously about college now, for which we are very glad and relieved. My daughter has been at JRC for a year now and has shown much improvement in maturity, dealing with adversity in constructive ways, and a significant weight loss - along with an increased interest in exercise. Parental concerns, difference of opinion, and questions about the program are consistently handled with respect, dignity and professionalism. The desire to push each student to maximum potential and excellence is strong and consistent."

"JRC has not only provided a safe environment for Brian, they have provided a treatment program which has successfully addressed Brian's severe behaviors and have done so without the use of psychotropics, with their potentially devastating side effects. Brian is learning - he has passed his social studies and math RCT's and is highly motivated to earn a local high school diploma. When he's home he talks with pride about his job at school and looks forward to go back to JRC. JRC is successful in managing very challenging behaviors and making positive changes in Brian's life as a result. The environment (school) is exceptional. Behavioral program is so highly structured and consistently applied - it works."

"Since Mike has been in this program at JRC he has improved to be more responsive and better relaxed so that he is able to stay in a workshop, etc. We feel JRC was a God send for Michael for this program understands his behavior and aggressiveness and how to cope with Mike."

"JRC stopped these behaviors and given some quality to my son's life. Program has saved my son's life. Matthew feels safe now. He has told us this frequently. He is now able to go on small trips without incidence. He enjoys these trips immensely. He loves going online via the internet."

"JRC is a good school for behavioral children. Where city schools cannot control these children. The houses are beautiful for these children compared to other schools. The staff is very polite people to work with. These is a lot of supervision for our children which provides safety."

"There have been improvements in Louis' behavior and well-being. Louis was in a desperate situation in all facets of his life. Hospitalization, drugs and a feeling of despair. With the structure and unique setting of JRC, he has slowly but surely improved his quality of life. No drugs, 100 lbs. lighter and much healthier physically and mentally. For a unique student like Louis, JRC did a fine job."

"I have been very satisfied with these services. I have noticed progress at least to the fact that he has been integrated to the community and is able to live a near to normal life. We feel confident that Gabe is in good hands and blessed that we were able to find a good program for him."

"We are very glad this school exists as our son would still be heavily drugged with no good quality of life. The procedures used here show him who is in charge and have reduced his dangerous behaviors. This program has changed the lives of children who were out of control and could not be managed elsewhere. JRC has saved many self-abusive children/clients from further injuring themselves. This program does not give up on the most difficult children. It keeps trying until effective therapy is found. JRC does not surrender them to a life of chemical controls and excessive restraints. You can not say this about other programs."

"There have been improvements in all the areas mentioned. I feel this facility has done a very good job. I have placed Michael in schools from Massachusetts to Washington state and have not found any compared to JRC."

"There has been much improvement since at JRC. JRC is the best placement. Its services are outstanding. We have noticed a lot of desirable changes in educational accomplishments. JRC is the best! JRC has a super program for the autistic, developmentally disabled, learning disabled, and severely handicapped. Just the best there is anywhere!"

"The staff at JRC has been great to Christopher; they keep me informed on every step of his progress. I feel very good about him being there. Christopher is doing much better than he was in public school. We are very pleased with the one on one teaching he gets. I think you have an excellent program at JRC. The program is working for my grandson. The staff is strict but fair, which is what my grandson needs. I think it is a well structured program."

"There have been many improvements in Bernadette's behavior since she first went to JRC. We are very grateful to JRC for the many services and time given to our daughter. We have seen many improvements in her education - she has done so much more than she would have in the NYC schools. I would first like to say 'thank you, thank you, thank you' for all the time and energy that JRC gives each student and how available staff makes themselves, to answer all questions. JRC please continue what you have already succeeded to do for our children. We now look forward to our daughter's visits, no more behavior problems and family dinners with no problems. We now laugh and enjoy one another. Thank you again!"

"Her behavior improved within weeks of her arrival. I think that JRC is the best program anywhere for my daughter's condition."

"It's a very good program and school."

"If for us take a few moments to complete this questionnaire, for you people at JRC take years to improve the life of students and I'm sure everyone will agree, they have a wonderful life. Congratulations for JRC all of you. Your services provided for Elly are very good. Congratulations to JRC. Your educational accomplishment is very, very good. Congratulations and thank you. JRC is the best."

"I must say that in spite of her recent enrollment I have noticed a few changes in my behavior. For starters, she is taking care of her personal hygiene much better. She is applying her mind to her studies. I am fully aware that no place is perfect but... with all that I have seen, challenged, participated in, observed, reached out to, called upon, JRC is the best school of them all. Thank you for caring about my baby girl. I have entrusted my daughter's life and well-being to the care of JRC, I am confident that I have made the right decision. Thank you very much."

"My son is happy with JRC. He likes it very much and he gets along with everybody, the teacher and the case manager, and everybody else in the residence where he stay. I am content with everybody at JRC. They are very helpful and they are wiling and understanding staff member."

"We feel very good about him being in JRC. We know he gets the best of care and we don't have to live in fear that he will do something to hurt himself. The medical needs are well taken care of."

"I feel JRC has improved the quality of Brendon's life tremendously. Even though he is a low-functioning individual, through JRC he is living his life to the fullest. Every person no matter what his disability deserves respect and love, which he receives in abundance at JRC. I feel very confident that Brendon is well cared for in JRC environment. I love each and every staff member who dedicates their life to help people with disabilities. Thanks so much for all the special staff members! Excellent staff! Professional caring people! Exceptional enviroment! Thanks for all your help through all these years! Dr. Israel deserves all the credit for a job well done."

"I feel JRC has been a blessing for him as his father has many medical problems and could never care for him and problems such as his could not be handled by just one person. I think JRC is doing a fine job, keep up the good work. JRC is probably the most appropriate place for children and people with such problems that they cannot have life without medication."

"JRC has eliminated our concern for our son's safety. He hasn't banged his head in years. He no longer drools and shakes because of heavy medication, which he no longer takes. He is knowledgeable about geography and has improved his math and reading skills. Our son feels very safe. We have good communication with case managers at all times. We are able to visit at any time and everything is always in place. The decor and furnishings in the school and homes are in good taste. Everything is clean. The beds are excellent."

"JRC has been a blessing to us. Their understanding of our son's problems and how to deal with them took a lot off our mind. Mike's ability to adjust to JRC staff has improved his behavior so he is less tense and able to follow the JRC staff directions. Words are not able to express our gratitude for this program. I think God was looking out for us when Michael enter JRC program. Good housing programs. Good working habits. I see a lot of improvement with Michael. His mother and I are forever grateful."

"Over the years, he has improved significantly, and can care for himself and be a productive member of society. JRC has done an excellent job in caring for Nicholas. We have never had any problems with the methods used to moderate his behavior. Nicholas has improved greatly in the educational area. He can perform basic occupational tasks, and can understand and take directions from instructors with little difficulty. Nicholas is very happy with JRC. We are told he is always smiling and is loved by his caregivers. We have been very pleased with JRC's treatment of Nicholas and our family. The situation with him being so far away from us remains painful for us, but we know he is in the best hands and we have every confidence in JRC to tend to his needs."

"Yes, I do see a much calmer individual who is, at times able to control his anger and contain himself. Yes, he still has outbursts, but his tolerance level is much higher. I feel JRC is a wonderful, excellent school! The staff works extremely hard and they are all very consistent, which is important. JRC works hard to bring about personality and academic improvements in their students and I commend and recommend JRC highly. Without JRC, I don't know where my son would be at this time! Yes, I've noticed a tremendous academic improvement - when my son came to JRC about 2 1/2 years ago he hated to read and did the minimum out of school work just to barely pass. Now, he is eager to do his homework and very zealous about reading. JRC totally caters to parents in bringing the parent/student relationship closer- the staff works extremely hard in helping to make the students happier and developing a closer relationship with parent and child. The reward program is wonderful! The items in the reward store are treasures. JRC is generous with cash rewards. JRC really pushes the students academically to reach their potential. JRC has used every tool possible (i.e. after school classes, tutoring, reward incentives, etc.) to get my son on and above grade level and to keep him there. My son has had numerous case managers and they all have been attentive - they call me with weekly updates so I won't worry and generally address any problems/questions/concerns I may have."

"JRC is a good place with children that have problems to be worked on. My son has improved in his academics. My sisters and mother and father think this is the best thing I did for Keith. JRC is a good school for children that cannot stay in regular school to finish their education. I see Keith has calmed down a lot. He has grown up in some ways."

"After 3 months the services seem to be helpful and appropriate. He seems to be positive about his experience. A unique treatment plan that at least offers hope and a new approach to severe behavioral issues. I am hopeful because there has been improvement in my son's behavior and wished I tried the non-medical treatment that JRC offers long ago. The staff has been most cooperative and candid with us in dealing with Louis' problems and have been helpful in communicating how JRC is dealing with Louis' problems."

"I am seeing some change for the better. I am very pleased with the way my grandson is treated, it is very important to me. For him to be treated with dignity and I have seen that with the staff. He seems like he wants to learn now, and to be more involved in the classroom. I am very pleased about the way that I am kept informed about my grandson's progress, and kept up-to-date about his behavior patterns. When I call the school I am always put through to his classroom so I can speak to him. When my husband and I came to visit with Chris, I can always get a staff member to talk with us about Chris' schoolwork. I think the reward system is a very good program. All in all, I am quite satisfied with the JRC program for our Christopher. I think they can prepare him to be able to get along with others, to be able to come home, to live and to be able to go to a regular school."

"We are grateful for the care that our child receives. We think the services are great. The program seems geared to each individual student's needs. We are called on a regular basis to keep us informed of our son's progress."

"We are very pleased that this school is in existence. It gives these difficult students a place to be. This program tries really hard and takes a lot of students from crisis level to manageable behavior. The staff is always very friendly and willing to talk to parents despite difficult conditions."

"JRC program is fantastic compared to Prosper's former school. He seems happy at JRC."

"I have seen some improvements JRC has provided for him. I feel trustworthy to JRC services that are helping out my son's situation."

"No other school or place could help Caroline. JRC was the only school that would accept Caroline. JRC is a #1 place. There is no place like it anywhere. We think it is the 'best place!' JRC always seeks to improve its services, standards. It keeps parents informed of its procedures, programs, etc. on a current and up-to-date basis. All questions and requests are answered promptly. Case managers keep parents informed on a very frequent basis."

"They are excellent. I am very grateful for the help my son has received with behavior modification and also with the progress he has made academically. My son is now able to participate in vocational plans that will be part of his educational services. I can see that my son is comfortable in this environment. I am very grateful for the wonderful job JRC staff has done on my son Gabe. Due to the achievements that Gabe has had at JRC, my family and I had the opportunity to enjoy good quality experiences with him. Gabe has grown into a well mannered young man and despite his severe disability is a pleasure to see him among us dancing and enjoying dinner. All his life he has been very difficult to manage but thanks to JRC's special program we have the opportunity to hug and kiss him again."

"We have seen tremendous improvement in his behavior. Adam now seems to be happy. JRC has done a great job on Adam. We are grateful for that. He can now function a little bit on his own (like taking a shower/brushing teeth, etc.). We feel the use of the GED has been a key factor in the improvement of Adam's behavior."

"In the three plus years she has been at JRC we have seen a great improvement. I feel that other schools should take some lessons from JRC. Bernadette has made a 110% improvement in her educational needs - kudos JRC. We feel that JRC has met all the goals set-forth for Bernadette, and as a family we are proud to say our daughter is in JRC. JRC is a school in itself. When outsiders try to take away what JRC has done so well - I get very angry. Why? Because unless these outside organizations live in our homes or walk in our shoes and see when you have a disabled child, it's not as easy as they think. Without JRC I don't know where Bernadette would be. When she comes home for visits, we are once again a family. We laugh, talk, and look forward to her coming home. I thank you JRC for giving us our wonderful daughter back and if anyone wants to quote me that's fine!"

"I noticed better change in the educational accomplishment. Our family member feels very good about JRC."

"He is living in a calm and peaceful environment. Excellent services and more than excellent staff! Brendon is much calmer and more aware of his surroundings. I think he loves it at JRC. Everyone's doing a great job. Brendon is lucky to be at your facility!"

"Steven has received more vocational training, and has had more exposure to activities. JRC has given Steven a more positive attitude in areas he had difficulty with in the past. He can express his feelings better, where before he would keep them inside. With the training he has received (ex: lawn mower repairs) he has the ability to related ideas and knowledge with other individuals in that field."

"I am very grateful for JRC. It has changed our lives for the better. Its made my daughter a better person which has made me a happier being. I can't thank you enough."

"We are 100% satisfied with the services that Noel has received at JRC. He now uses more complete sentences and his thoughts expressed are more complete and full. Noel does like it there and he does favor certain functions more than others. The close observation of students by the staff is indeed very impressive to us. All the staff works for every student and is very caring and concerned with each and every student. Students are given great freedom to think on their own and indeed it is a goal for them to think freely on their own."

"Overall, we are pleased especially with Nick's academic progress and control over behavior. Nick is much more in control when he is home. He seems to finally be making progress in reading and math. The new program implemented this year seems to be helping. We are very pleased with the new reading program you have implemented in Nick's classroom. He already seems to be doing better. We are also pleased with Old Maple - it's a nice house with just the right amount of supervision."

"I couldn't have asked for or found a better place than JRC. The services they give the students and the family are excellent. I have noticed a great difference in my daughter's behavior. She's gone from a failing student to an A-B student. She likes JRC. She likes the goals that are set for her. I don't know where my daughter might have been right now if it wasn't for JRC. They gave a girl with low self-esteem and behavior problems a chance to turn herself around and I am eternally grateful for them. When Bernadette is home on visits she is delightful. It is wonderful to see how she interacts with the family. There are no more fights and no arguing. Thank you JRC."

"We continue to be grateful and very satisfied. JRC has made Eric's life as developed as possible and the peace of mind of his parents is assured. Eric continues to relate to others in a special and loving manner. The JRC program is both hardworking and empathetic. It combines an equal measure of optimism and pragmatism, giving it's students latitude for growth and realistic, well-defined guidelines for behavior."

"I feel there has been a great improvement in Allaheye. I feel very confident about leaving my child in the hands of JRC. The services have really helped him. He seems to want to learn now and he feels good about learning. I am very satisfied with the way Allaheye is using his coping skills. And how he is not using meds. He seems to talk out his problems now. I like the dress code. Alleheye has always been very clean. But now he gets to dress up everyday. I like that he is held accountable for his own actions. And that is brought to his attention."

"We have seen tremendous improvement in his behavior. JRC has been a life saver for our son. JRC is an excellent organization and we are very happy with the service provided to us. His behavior is in so much control. A life saving institution. You are doing very well. We wish you had such a program in every state and we hope you will open one in NY state."

"Since being at JRC Becki is safe, content and even happy. We are thrilled with the advances she is making. JRC is the first totally professional run facility that we have found. Things do not fall through the cracks at JRC. The rest of the family is now able to live our lives without constant attention and worry in regards to Rebecca. We have noticed an improvement in Math which is difficult for Becki due to a learning disability. Thank you, Lynn Parillo, for your outstanding concern for Becki."

"My son has progressed very well in his time at JRC. He is much more self-sufficient than we could have imagined. He seems to be very happy at JRC. The JRC program has made a positive difference in my son's life and our family's life. He is well cared for and we are confident in the fact that he is partially self-sufficient."

"We feel very happy that Valentine is under proper care and will be able to obtain his education. JRC is a very well structured institution for students with emotional problems. They have all the facilities to deal with children with these kinds of problems."

"It is the best school around and we are very satisfied. He has greatly improved in his learning ability. He is more cooperative and calmer than he has ever been. The facilities are always clean and comfortable for Ed and our family."

"I like JRC and the program that was made for him. He likes JRC - at least he has some friends now. Thank God for JRC - now my son has a life."

"Mark was in JRC twice before and we feel that he will be safe and his medical needs will be met. From past experience we were impressed with the dedication of the staff, the facilities, and the school programs."

"I feel JRC is an excellent school with a very well trained and caring staff. There is so much support available for each student and the concern for the students is really wonderful. My son is now reading avidly and back on level with his current grade. He seems like he really wants to learn now, unlike before when he refused to go to school or even pick up a book and read it. He is doing much better academically. At first Rick did not like it there, but now he has adjusted and likes it. He has a lot of friends and participates in activities. I think he really likes it there now. Availability to his case manager is terrific. I can always contact him and he is very concerned with Rick's progress. His name is Kevin Giuliano and I'm very glad he is Rick's case manager. Any funds allocated towards JRC are used beautifully to improve student's academic improvements, student's living conditions, extra-curricular activities, and to even help the liaison between student-parent-staff. The school is very well organized - JRC has got it together! Medical/dental/emergency health issues are addressed promptly; student health is very well taken care of. It's wonderful the way JRC has eliminated the need for medications for students. By closely working with the students, counseling and lots of moral support/positive reinforcement techniques JRC has been very successful. I am really glad I chose JRC for my son."

"There have been big improvements since placed at JRC. JRC provides first class services of all kinds to our daughter. She likes JRC very much, it is her home. The JRC program is the very best placement anywhere in the world."

"Very happy that we can go visit Keith and be put up in a hotel when visiting. This makes life much easier. Keith also has everything he needs in one building. We both feel Keith has benefited from JRC. JRC is a good place for kids that need positive behavior tactics."

"There have been gradual improvements in all aspects of Ed's life. Very satisfied with staff and school. He speaks more clearly and has improved in all academics. Behavior has improved. He likes teachers and school. Much happier than at other school. We feel the school is very well run now as it is. Staff very cooperative. We wish Ed had gone there first. Always can contact anyone to answer questions. Staff works well together to keep Ed on his program. He is always neat and clean. House is always clean and well staffed. He is physically well cared for with doctor and dental appointments. He functions well in this environment and we hope this will continue."

"He is now not on meds and has become less destructive with the help of the JRC staff. I feel more at ease knowing Michael is at JRC with a staff that is dedicated to helping students and an environment that is safe and secure for the students. He loves the structured environment and doesn't like to be away for more than a day."

"He loves it there. I have no problem when he leaves to come home and no problem when we leave to take him back to school. So it makes it very nice."

"I love JRC. The very moment it was informed to me to come and visit the school immediately I knew this was the school for my son. I think you have wonderful services, very unique, disciplinary, responsible, and equipped staff. It is just so great to me and my family loves the school too. The school program is just excellent."

"The improvement is fantastic. Becki is gaining a lot of self-respect. Becki does so well when she feels safe. We have seen an improvement in Becki's understanding of math and problem solving. Becki feels safe when she is at JRC. We know JRC has Becki's best interest at heart. We know JRC will tell us what can or can not be done. We appreciate the positive approach of all the staff. We love that Becki is making so much personal progress. Becki knows what she needs to do. Things are clear."

"I see some change and she knows when she gets upset to walk away. JRC is a God send. You reach where we could not. I will never forget Ms. Kaufman and all those other people I met who made me feel like my problem was number one! Daphne learned how to sit down and have a civil conversation and talk with the family. She is also proud of herself when she sees her grades. Thank you for all your hard work and patience."

"JRC has helped my son tremendously in the short time (5 months) that he has attended. While recently on a home visit, I noticed a quieter, calmer demeanor, a more outgoing child, and most importantly, a happy child. I feel the overall staff support is wonderful. My son has more of a desire to read (this is rare for him). Also, he's more interested in geography and science. I feel he now likes the fact that he now has friends. He seems to like most staff members. The volume of staff vs. student ratio is great. There is plenty of support should a student need it, whether in the classroom or residentially. The staff is not just firm, but I found all of them to be nurturing and loving (like parents). They really care about the students and are sensitive to their needs and feelings. I noticed the overspill of care and love given to the autistic/developmentally impaired students and it almost makes me cry! The positive reinforcement is a wonderful incentive program which seems to slowly be working for my son."

"There have been big improvements. JRC is an excellent school. It provides excellent services to family members. The students are well taken care of. She loves it. JRC provides an excellent supervision program for the autistic, mentally retarded, developmentally disabled, and learning disabled. Their positive reinforcement and behavior program is superior. Their nursing staff provides excellent health care coverage."

"I feel this program is excellent for behavioral disorders with children they need consistency all the time. All that you are doing for Keith is much appreciated. The place is clean and orderly and nice to live there. The rooms and houses are newly built and beautiful. The school is nice and clean. The food is great and well balanced meals."

"Consistent improvement in behavior and self-control; appears to be making progress in academic program. We are basically very pleased with the overall JRC environment, staff relations, educational program, consistent behavior management responsibilities to our concerns, and high quality of facilities. Outstanding facilities and facility maintenance. Well managed, caring, and supportive staff in residence and school. Consistent application of behavioral philosophy and protocols without reliance on medication. Overall environment of caring and individual attention in a setting that is obviously very well managed."

"It has been working quite well since my son has been there almost three months now. He has fewer episodes in which they do not last long and some weight loss since he has been off the medication."

"There appears to be a change in attitude and appears to be making progress. Lauren sounds calmer and better on the telephone. Very good and confident our daughter is at the right place. Very positive and hopeful. Very thankful and appreciative. Very responsive to parent's concerns. Listens to parents and tries to do best to explain policies and progress. Very consistent method of working with students. Believe in the integrity of JRC and am very happy to be there with Lauren."

"There has been a great deal of improvement in all areas. I feel very comfortable about all services provided for my son. One good accomplishment is that he goes to school and works to the best of his ability. He loves it. I would like to say that JRC is the best thing that ever happened to me, my son, and the rest of my family."

"He has improved greatly with his school work getting As and Bs. We feel JRC is doing an excellent job with kids. They learn to earn what they need by being their very best in conduct. The dress code is very impressive. The children are taught to cook and general housekeeping. So when they leave JRC they can fit in society. My son has been there a year and four months, he has lost around 60 pounds. He feels very happy with his size now."

"More mature and more knowledgeable. We felt relieved that Matthew was in a place where he could grow up in safety. Matthew tells me that he feels safe. Since Matthew's behavior is unpredictable, our family feels good that he has 24 hour consistent supervision in a structured environment."

"JRC has helped. He has improved very much. He no longer wears the helmet. JRC is an excellent program! It is the only program where Michael has really gone anywhere. He is more relaxed. He is able to work in a workshop. He seems to really enjoy it. It is obvious that Michael feels very secure in this program. This is a great program with consistent training. We don't think Michael would have gone as far in any other program as he has in this one."

"Very good, any comments we've brought up have been looked into and taken care of. He has accomplished quite a bit on self-control. The help in bringing Steven home is wonderful. The changes in attitude are fantastic."

"I feel that Daniel is being helped very much in most levels and is cared for. He is doing excellent in his school work. JRC is helping Daniel with his education and how to become a responsible man. Most of the staff are very friendly and eager to help at all times. I feel JRC helps to motivate children of all ages. I feel that Daniel is safe like being at home or more so in JRC. Thank you for caring for my son."

"I must say thanks for the help and the service my daughter is receiving. She has come a long way. She has been so good since she has been at JRC. I always knew she was bright. She is on top again. You all are doing a beautiful job for these children. I do not know any place better and I thank you all very much. I would recommend anyone to JRC. I have seen the changes in my daughter. I know it isn't easy working with children, not even your own. I as a parent can only say 'keep doing what you're doing to help these children.' One day when they become doctors, lawyers, or whatever profession they want to have, let them tell others if it wasn't for JRC I don't know where I would be. So I have to thank Dr. Israel and the staff for where I am today. Give them that hope."

"The services are very good and JRC takes good care of my son. JRC is a good program for my son. He learns a lot and I don't know what I would do if it wasn't for JRC. The JRC program helps many children, teenagers, and young adults. They can help the kids that no one else could."

"To put it mildly we are a family again. A vast behavioral improvement. You have done a wonderful job with services. Always in touch with the family. Keep up with the great work. I will say it again; if it were not for JRC I can truly say I don't think my family would be a healthy one...it has taken a toll on us mentally as well as physically. And God knows where our Danielle would be today if it were not for JRC. Thank you again. P.S. Your Head Nurse is wonderful!!"

"From the moment Eric entered BRI/JRC his behavior improved tremendously. I believe that the JRC provides the best possible living environment and education that my brother could receive. I am particularly impressed with the improvement in Eric's reading. Eric almost always seems happy or at least at peace when I speak to him. Please keep up the great work you have done with Eric. The great positive change in my brother's life while at JRC is the best possible proof that the JRC program works."

"Self mutilation has ceased. Kristen seems much more positive. She demonstrates responsibility towards her household chores, her school work and her part-time job. The outcome of my daughter's experience at JRC is nothing short of remarkable. The staff should be commended for their patience, professionalism and compassion. Kristen seems driven to succeed academically. My daughter now views education as a path to success rather than an impediment to her happiness. My daughter is very outspoken about her gratitude to JRC. JRC saved my daughter from a life of depression and despair. Only JRC espoused the formula that deep down I knew would lead to my daughter's recovery: improved behavior leads to improved thinking and emotions. I will be forever grateful for the philosophy and the program that define the Judge Rotenberg Center."

"At JRC my son is on less medication and with 1 to 1 staffing is much more comfortable. I feel my son is better off at JRC. He is getting the education and care he needs that couldn't be given at home. My son is more willing to do his studies. He seems to maintain information longer. I wish he had gone to JRC first. We visit his house often, at least once a month. His house is always clean and you can see how attentive staff is to all the students' needs. We are very impressed with all aspects of care at JRC. Very well satisfied with the services."

"Major improvements since being at JRC. Excellent! My daughter is getting her life back! She went from straight F's or no grades to A's and B's. She likes the program, and if I ask her why this program worked, she claims it is because it is so structured. I recommend to anyone who wants to help their child to attend JRC. I cannot stress what it has done for my daughter and my family. Thank you for this. When my daughter first went to JRC, she was a walking zombie from all the medication and lack of care from the other programs. JRC is the best place to be!"

"I have seen great improvements, he is cooperating nicely. I am very pleased and satisfied with the disciplinary measures taken that every child knows there is consequences when you break rules. I feel very proud of his educational achievements; he has improved above and beyond my expectations. We feel quite secure knowing our son is in a place where there is no abuse or teasing to make him uncomfortable."

"Marlene could not be supervised adequately where she was. Your program was the only one that would take her. She is watched and supervised closely. The atmosphere and staff appear very positive and pleasant. We are pleased with the professionalism that is shown."

"Since Elly was placed at JRC he has improved very much, thanks to the people around him. JRC has wonderful people and they provide excellent services. I noticed that Elly's life has changed completely, and continues to be changed in good ways every day. Thank you JRC for your excellent services provided. JRC staff work with real cases every day, they know what is best for each case."

"We are deeply gracious and very pleased with JRC and their services. Our son continues to exhibit interest in things, is gregarious and has outgrown many of his undesirable traits. We commend the efficient, caring and humane manner in which JRC treats it's clients. JRC has literally saved lives."

"So far I find JRC to be very professional and friendly. I feel they care about the welfare of my child. Daphne has never made A's before; she never had the desire to. As a parent, I wish I knew your secret. Even though you are a school, it feels like home and family."

"His behaviors have decreased dramatically; he was removed from all medication. I have seen educational progress and socialization improvement. JRC has been very comprehensive and realistic in dealing with the handicaps of my child. The services are excellent. My son looks well groomed and he seems to be very important to the JRC staff. My son has accomplished higher understanding in the math and reading area. His self care skills are excellent. My son cannot express himself but I can see that he is very comfortable with the staff and where he lives. Staff is caring and attentive to the clients and parents. The program is very structured. The school is very attractive and organized. The student residences are clean and well maintained. Information regarding the progress of my child's behavior is always available to me."

"There have been major improvements in Michael's behavior and living skills, all this without medication. JRC has given Michael a new life from day one. Before becoming a student at JRC he was rejected at all the schools he attended, he was on heavy medication, and he has developed skills in communication as well as daily living skills. He has developed a way of communicating that has made his life better for his family and himself. Michael is very happy at JRC."

"There have been improvements since Caroline has been at JRC. All our family members feel JRC is an excellent placement and has always been excellent. They take excellent care of our daughter's physical care, developmental needs and educational needs. She has speech, can make known her needs, can carry on a conversation, and knows her colors and numbers. Our family members feel and know JRC is 'home' to her, she loves JRC. The program is consistent. The program stresses positive reinforcement. The program is specialized for each individual student. There is individual care in the classroom as well as in the group home. The program includes all aspects of a student's life. The program oversees the health of each student 100 percent."

"Our family feels our son will get the services he needs here at JRC. I believe that JRC is very concerned with every child and ensuring that no matter how difficult they can be their education is very important and they don't give up. That is something very valuable and taken seriously at JRC. The children are treated more equal than special, meaning they are not limited to what they are taught or what they can do. JRC believes they are capable of anything as long as they apply themselves. To give these kids hope is one thing JRC is determined to do and for that I appreciate and value that my child is there."

"It's a great program and my son has learned a lot. It's helped him to learn to stay in control when he has a problem. JRC is a good place for my son to be. JRC has taught my son how to control his anger, to stay in control without medication, and to be independent."

"Our son had been thrown out of every other program in Massachusetts because of his bad behaviors. So, JRC was a blessing for us. He has been there so long; I think he now needs a 'retirement' JRC, maybe in Florida! Brendon's life is now just what every parent hopes and prays for their child - that he's happy and healthy and well cared for and he's with people that love him."

"JRC has improved my son's behavior considerably. My son's grades have improved. My son is also more interested in academics. JRC is a great program. The JRC program has been of great help for my son. He came home for a visit for the first time a few weeks ago. I could not believe the change in him. He was polite, well behaved, more than willing to help with chores, and most of all for the first time in years, he was pleasant to be around. My son seems so much happier with himself. I want to thank the JRC program for the fine work they are doing."

"I see a great improvement - she is more focused and calmer. The services are great. I know that Bernadette is in a safe environment. Her marks are better in most areas. Our family feels grateful for how well you were able to work with Bernadette and the marked improvement. When we heard about JRC we thought it would be just like the state schools - but we were soon to find out that this was a special place, where our daughter would be well taken care of. The staff was wonderful and worked closely with our family. They made a difficult time for our family easier. Staff at JRC is patient and available for any questions and concerns that we may have. There are too many positive things about JRC that it would take too long to list. We like the consistency, which is applied in all areas, and the fact that our daughter Bernadette is no longer on medication. Thank you for all you have done and will do for our daughter."

"We're satisfied that our son is happy and well taken care of. Our son is now more knowledgeable, speaks better and has many interests. JRC has a certain ambiance which enlightens the spirit. The staff operates in a caring manner that makes us feel good. We're very pleased that Matthew's behavior program is consistent at all times."

"Joel can now follow rules and he gets along with people much better. I feel JRC is an excellent program. Joel's progress has been very good since he's been at JRC. It makes it easier knowing that he's being taken very good care of and that he isn't going without anything. The school and all the homes are beautiful. Joel's progress in school has been great. Joel has done better in school in the past nine months than he has in many years. Joel has struggled for many years in school because of his learning disabilities; JRC helps him deal with that. Joel feels proud of himself for being able to follow the rules and working toward his goals. JRC has helped Joel learn how to follow rules, respect other people's feelings, and how to accomplish goals at home and at school. They have also helped him with daily hygiene and care for his appearance, how to get along with other people, and how to cope with his learning disabilities. Joel and all the staff should be very proud of themselves."

"We feel very safe with the trained staff and the structure. We feel that the program has been an excellent choice. Rebecca's writing has improved dramatically; she is gaining a lot of self-confidence. I think she knows she is doing better than she had in a very long time. Things we know keep Rebecca as safe as possible:
  • the nurse
  • constant staff when out of chair
  • adheres to uniform expectations
  • positive reinforcement

"We feel it's a God send for our son Michael. The services JRC provides are excellent. Michael shows signs of relaxing and less tense; he pays attention and follows directions. If there was any other program I could dream of that could be better, it would match JRC."

"We sincerely feel that if it hadn't been for JRC our son would not be alive today. The specialized program designed for his needs have immensely improved his behaviors. His attention span has improved. Our son is non-verbal but thru his body language we can determine he is well treated and loved."

"JRC is a great school. Joseph is improving in academics! I can always speak to him on the phone. Staff members are very courteous and caring. Children are taught to do their laundry, cooking and cleaning. Children are always clean, showered and dressed."
